Sauk County reducing police presence

James Yoblonski is a missing 13-year-old who is being sought by fewer agents of law enforcement because they believe he doesn’t want to be located. According to Patrol Lieutenant Steven Schram, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office’s search for Yoblonski on Friday turned up a second camp, a water jug, socks and a knife sheath. Schram believes that the findings of today provide more evidence that Yoblonski may be trying to elude searches and live as a survivor in Baraboo Bluffs. Today and Saturday, fewer officers will begin searching for the Reedsburg teenager.

We feel that our presence could push him away because there are no squads in front of Schram. Schram stated that they were taking this into consideration. He may be trying to hide from us in order to achieve his goal of living off the grid. Police say that Yoblonski can still get food and water. They are currently looking to continue their search through the weekend and next week. James was last seen wearing blue trousers and an unidentified shirt. He also wore red sneakers and an unidentified cap. If you think you have seen James, please contact the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office by calling 608-356 4895.
