Talking about the latest incident, a mass shooting occurred in an Alabama church and 2 innocent victims were killed. Panic erupted across the country after this latest news. In just two months, there have been many shootings across the country. These shootings have been reported by the media again after police failed to identify the cause. According to the latest reports, two people were shot and one was injured in the attack on Thursday 16 June 2022, at an Alabama church. Shane Ware is the Captain of Vestavia Hills police. He stated that officers responded to reports about an active gunman at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
At 06:22 local time, the incident was reported. He stated that the suspect was arrested by the police and is now in custody. Ware told the media outlet that a single suspect entered the small group meeting of the church and began firing. Although Ware didn’t recognize the gunman, detectives determined the motive behind the shooting.
2 people died and 1 was badly injured. He is currently being treated at a local hospital. Although the identity of the suspect and victims was sought, the names of the injured or current medical status of the wounded were not immediately available. The Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco, The FBI, Tobacco and the United States Marshals Service are all involved in this investigation. According to the Church’s website,
A feast was planned for Thursday 16 June 2022 between 05:00 and 07:00 pm. An employee of Bishop Glenda Curry, the Episcopal Diocese’s Alabama office stated that they have appealed to the community for support for the families of the victims. Rev. Rev. Kelley Hudlow stated that, “We are Episcopalians. We have faith in Jesus Christ and we also believe that the prayers will assist. We are currently praying for safety and healing for all those who have been adversely impacted and harmed.
