According to the report, Malik was killed in a shooting at Newton’s 8236 128 Street on Thursday 14 July. He was 75 years old. Malik was killed in his car, outside his Surrey Shop. Malik, a man who was exonerated of the 2005 bombings against Air India planes that caused the deaths of 331 people, was shot in his car. The RCMP reports that officers were alerted to 128 Street near 82 Avenue because of reports of gunfire at around 9:30 AM. They found Malin there when they arrived.

Jose Lopez and Tanner Fox were both arrested for first-degree killing in connection to the shooting of Ripudaman Sing Malik in Surrey, British Columbia, on the 14th of July. Malik, 75, was shot multiple times in front of his family’s shop at Papillon Eastern Imports. Because of Malik’s controversial past, the killing of Malik caused division in Indo-Canadian society. According to police, Malik was killed at 9:30 am. The vehicle that contained Malik and his family had been waiting hours for him. A white Honda CRV was also later burned near the location.

Tanner Fox, 21 years old, and Jose Lopez, 23 years old were both arrested Wednesday morning on the 27th of July 2022. According to police, Malik was shot many times. They also claimed that he was driving alone at the time. During his tenure as the chairman of Khalsa School, Malik was responsible for two private schools in Surrey and Vancouver. Malik was the president of Khalsa Credit Union, Vancouver which has over 16,000 members.
