Born in Krakow on the 30th of March 1892, he is the most influential and well-known mathematician the 20th century. He is known as the inventor of functional analysis. In 1932, he also published Theory Of Linear Operations. His professors and principal noticed him solving math puzzles during recess when he was a child. He was a published author and had a number of books and journals. At Lwow Polytechnic, he received an assistantship. His most important concepts in maths were the Hahn–Banach theorem and Banach algebras.

Google is celebrating Stefan Banach today by launching a competition called Doodle for Google. Students from the first to 12th grades are invited to create a doodle. The winner will be featured on Google.com. Students will be given amazing prizes, gifts, and scholarships. Doodles are primarily used to entertain the public, but doodles can also be used to honor those who have made history or done something for their country.

He died in Lviv Ukraine on 31 August 1945. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 1945. He received all necessary treatment and continued to take care of his body. However, his condition worsened over time and he was admitted again to the hospital. He died from lung cancer. Many people were shocked by his death. In 2008, google started a competition to honor him. Many people are still studying his theories and books.
