Police said that two victims were found unconscious and covered with blood when police responded to a call. The victim had been stabbed several times, and it appeared that the attacker intended to kill them. Police reports identified two victims as Richard Brumbach, who was 65 years old at the time of his death, and Joshuah Vining, who was 47 years old at the time. Springfield is the home of both victims. Despite attempts by the officer to help, both victims died on the spot. Robin Roberts was later taken to the Springfield Police Department, and then to Lane County Jail for two counts of first-degree Murder.
