Paul Dear Cause Of Death

Paul Dear was born 28 December 1966. He was an Australian rules football player and was well-known for his plays, especially when he was playing in the AFL (Australian Football League) Hawthorns Football Club. Paul also had a younger sibling, Greg Dear. Paul was shorter than Greg, even though he was the bigger brother. The Hawthorn club recruited them when Latrobe Valley was in the Hawthorn zone.

Paul made his debut in 1987, and that was also the year he participated in the grand final. He served as a substitute for Jason, who was unavailable at the time. He was designated emergency in 1988 and 1989 when he was unable to enter the side. In 1990, he was finally able to play regularly and was able be part of 23 games. His good form didn’t stop there. He continued his great play into the next year. He was capable of taking a 10-point lead by himself and it seemed like no one could stop his amazing play.

Paul was diagnosed in 2020 with Pancreatic Cancer. He had been fighting the disease for over two years before finally giving in. He died a week after the hawthorns had been participating in Dare Hope, a charity match meant to raise funds for Dear Charity Foundation. Let’s all hope the team can perform at their best and that the family can recover from this loss. Paul Dear, the Australian football legend, is sadly missed.
