Being a President of the country, Kibaki also served as the fourth Vice-President of Kenya for ten years is 1978 to 1988 under President Daniel arap Moi. After the news of his death was announced, several big politicians and celebrities took social media to pay their tributes and condolence. Born as Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki on November 15, 1931, in Kimuri Village, Kerugoya, Kenya Colony. He was the youngest son of the family. He was known as a Mwai Kibaki in his public life. He took his schooling at the village school in Gatuyaini, where he completed two years. After that, he began his study at the Karima mission school, which is close to Othaya town, before moving to Mathari School between 1944 and 1946.

During his schooling, he learned Carpentry and masonry at the school. He began his political career in 1963 and was elected as a Member of Parliament for Donholm Constituency in Nairobi. His first election was the beginning of his first political career. Later, Kibaki was appointed the Permanent Secretary for the Treasury in 1963. In 1966, he was promoted to Minister of Commerce and Industry. During his entire political career, he managed to serve on several positions in the Government sector and earned huge respect and love from his colleagues. Well, Kibaki served as the Leader of the Official Opposition in Parliament from 1998 to 2002. At the end, he was appointed as the President of Kenya in the 2002 elections. His death devastated his family, friends, and colleagues.
