He was also a Unitek instructor of EMT, which is licensed in Washington as well as Oregon. He is also a paramedic at Metro West, Portland. He was awarded many awards throughout his life. He was also an Eagle Scout with bronze pam and gold awards, and an elected member of the Order of the Arrow. This honor society is part of the BSA. He may have never wanted to leave the country, as he was a First Aid Coach for Troop 71 and Assistant Chief Scout. He enjoys camping, tenting, and mountaineering with his friends.

He was also a kayaker and YMCA lifeguard as well as a knife maker, fly fisherman, knife coach, kickboxing coach, and captain for the West Sound Warriors ice hockey workers. Andrew enjoys spending time with friends and is a regular lecturer in many subjects. Friends and his loved ones will always remember him.
